Still love this holiday. It’s been a minute since we celebrated it and this year I was ready to at least take a stab at doing it properly. We hit all the basics: lucky charms for breakfast, festive shirts, everything in their lunches was green, Irish soda bread and sides for dinner. Neil and I even snuck out for lunch at a decidedly not Irish place…but I never turn down spicy Thai food.
We ended the night watching the Veggie Tales St. Patrick’s Day special, like we do every year. We even caught it last year from our hotel room in Berlin.
The world is waking up and all our trees welcomed Spring with the usual flare and panache. Our cherry tree is full of buzzing honey and bumble bees and butterflies. Standing under it, listening to the droning hum is magic.
