Costumes 2025

2025-11-09

I’ve been more relieved than usual to check Halloween off my “Well and Truly Accomplished” list. It was good and busy and I’m pleased with the costumes (the whole purpose of this post)…Maybe I’m just extra looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas? Anyways, need to show you details of the costumes because they were great.

Corra was Frostfall, her D&D character. She mostly wanted an excuse to have me make her dragon wings just like Naomi’s that I made last year. I was really awful about photo documenting this year, I have zero pictures of the actual harness. The wings themselves are smaller than Naomi’s but I think overall they are the perfect size for Corra. I also learned quite a bit and they were much easier to make this time around.
Layna was a Demon girl inspired by the movite K Pop Demon Hunters. We found a great dress at our favorite thrift store, and Amazon had temporary tattoos to put patterns on her face like the demons in the movies.
Naomi was Chell from the second “Portal” video game. We ordered the orange jumpsuit, I added the vinyl logo to the white tank, and she modified clear heels to make Chell’s iconic LongFall boots. There was an attempt at converting a squirt gun into a portal gun, but it didn’t ended up happening. She was so pleased with the overall effect, even if the shoes weren’t quite the thing for a long trick or treating run.

And with that we wrap Halloween officially! I may or may not have already bought plates, cups, and napkins for Thanksgiving dinner. I admit nothing.
